中文摘要: 本项目研究激光频闪驱动冷原子系统的动力学特征以及与之相关的基础理论问题,探索对一个典型的经典不可积系统,其量子动力学行为有哪些基本特征以及这些特征产生的条件和机制。研究途径是以激光频闪驱动冷原子系统作为经典不可积系统的代表,找到并建立该系统与相关理论的重要联系。主要研究内容包括:(1)一维准周期激光频闪驱动冷原子系统的能量扩散特征及其与非线性sigma模型的关系;(2)二、三维激光频闪驱动冷原子系统的经典与量子动力学;(3)在激光脉冲频闪驱动冷原子系统中,量子共振与近量子共振条件下的"伪经典-量子"对应。此项目将加深和丰富人们的对经典量子对应原理成立的条件及其表现形式这一基础理论问题的理解,拓展量子动力学以及冷原子研究与相关领域,如凝聚态物理、量子场论、以及统计物理的联系,并为冷原子系统的操控和应用等实际问题提供新的思路。

英文摘要: The objective of this proposed project is to study the dynamics of the cold atoms subject to the stroboscopically applied laser standing waves (SALSW). We aim to make contribution to answering the theoretical question that, for a typical classically nonintegrable system, what dynamical characteristics its quantum counterpart may have and what the underlying mechanisms are. For this aim, an effective approach is to consider the dynamical models of the cold atoms driven by laser and establish the connections between these models and the theories from other physical branches. We shall focus on the following issues: (1) One-dimensional cold-atom systems subjected to the SALSW of quasi-periodic intensity - - their energy diffusion characteristics and their relations with the nonlinear sigma model; (2) Two- and three-dimensional cold-atom systems subject to the SALSW - - their classical and quantum dynamics; (3) The quantum-quasiclassical correspondence in the cold-atom systems subject to the SALSW, on and close to the quantum resonances. The fulfillment of this proposed project will shed more light on the fundamental problem of the classical-quantum correspondence, extend the cold-atom studies to other fields - - such as the condensed matter physics,quantum field theory and statistical physics, and suggest new a
