英文摘要: In this project, we will prepare biocompatible and biodegradable polyelectrolytes with hydrophobic and targeting groups for protein drug delivery. By modulating the hydrophobic and electrostatic interactions between polyelectrolyte and protein, the formation and dissociation of polyelectrolyte/protein complex nanoparticles at different conditions of pH, ionic strength, and temperature will be controlled. The absorption of the protein drugs in small intestine mediated by the complex nanoparticles will be investigated. We are going to find the structural models of the polyelectrolytes that can bind with different proteins to form nanoparticles and can significantly improve the oral bioavailability of protein drugs.
