中文摘要: 基于随时间变化的点云序列的几何重建是计算机动画、逆向工程、虚拟现实、计算机图形学、有限元分析等应用领域非常重要的问题之一。本项目针对上述应用领域,开展以下几个方面的内容研究:1)基于移动最小二乘和Marching Cube方法的大规模点云数据快速几何重建;2)点云表面几何特征的检测和提取;3)动态点云序列结构化四边形网格的跟踪;4)三维几何形状抽象表达方法- - 曲线四边网的定义、表示和提取;5)基于动态点云序列的交互式几何建模原型系统。本项目旨在通过对上述内容的研究,为大规模点云数据的快速精确几何重建、基于动态点云序列的四边形网格建模等领域提供一些新的理论,方法和技术,同时为目前交互式建模系统提供关键技术支撑,以提升我国在计算机动画、数字游戏、虚拟现实、逆向工程等领域企业的创新设计能力和国际竞争力。

英文摘要: Time-varying point clouds oriented reconstruction is widely used in Computer Animation, Reverse Engineering, Virtual Reality, Computer Graphics, Finite Element Analysis etc., and is getting more and more attention from the academic research domain. Research contents of the proposed project include the following aspects: 1).Efficiently reconstruction from point clouds due to the combination of Moving Least Square and Marching Cube theories; 2).Feature detection and reconstruction of point set surface; 3).Regular quad-mesh registration and tracking of dynamic point clouds sequences; 4).Abstraction of 3D shapes by Curve Quad Edge Network; 5).A prototype system for interactively modeling from static or dynamic point clouds. The purpose of this project is to provide some new theories, new methodologies and new technologies to the above application fields, and to promote the innovative design and producing ability and international competitive ability of game and animation industry in our country.
