中文摘要: 细菌sRNA是细菌中普遍存在的一类长度在40~500个核苷酸的调控RNA,主要通过与靶mRNA结合实现基因表达的转录后调控,进而在细菌毒性、群落感应和对外界环境的反应等方面发挥重要作用,因此,开展细菌sRNA-靶标mRNA相互作用研究具有重要意义。本项目拟综合运用高通量测序等生物技术与RNA二级结构预测等生物信息学方法系统开展细菌sRNA-靶标mRNA相互作用研究,该策略可以同时识别细菌sRNA及其靶标mRNA,不仅为阐明特定条件下细菌sRNA功能提供实验指导,也为开发细菌sRNA及其靶标预测模型提供数据支持,最终促进细菌sRNA功能基因组学研究和人们对细菌生命活动的理解。

英文摘要: Bacterial sRNAs are a class of regulatory RNAs with their lengths varying from 40nt to 500nt. Its main role is to carry out post-transcriptional regulation on the target genes through sRNA-target mRNA interaction, which plays an important role in bacterial virulence, quorum sensing, and sensing the enviromental changes. Therefore, studying sRNA-mRNA interaction is very important. The project reported here intends to invesitgate bacterial sRNA-target mRNA interaction comprehensively using biotechniques such as high throughput sequencing and bioinformatics methods like RNA secondary structure prediction. The project can not only identify the bacterial sRNAs and their target mRNAs simultaneously, which provide experimental support for studying sRNA functions deeply, but also provide data support for developing prediction models for bacterial sRNAs and their target mRNAs. Finally, the project will promote the functional genomics study of bacterial sRNAs, and understanding the activity of bacterial life.
