中文摘要: 统计方法在生物学的发展过程中发挥着至关重要的作用。迄今为止,科研人员已经发展了诸多的统计方法用以处理生物学中基因型、表现型等大量甚至海量数据。由基因所控制的性状(如遗传病)较为普遍,因而,定位感兴趣的基因、研究基因发挥作用的机制一直是科学界备受关注的问题。而生物的性状又分为不同种类,研究时需以不同方法对待。 本项目开展数理统计学与生物学尤其是遗传学的交叉学科研究,基于当前流行的连锁分析和关联分析方法,发展新的、高效的、针对性强的生物数据分析方法,重点放在计数型性状、有序型性状这一类典型生物性状遗传数据的统计分析,由此定位感兴趣的基因位点,并探讨相关基因发挥作用的生物学机制。

英文摘要: Statistical methods play important roles in the developing course of biology. So far, researchers have developed many statistical methods to deal with the large quantities of biological data, even the massive data, such as genotype, phenotype, etc. The traits controlled by genes are very common (e.g., genetic disease). Therefore, mapping genes of interest and investigating the biological mechanism of gene acting are always the popular problems in scientific community. However, the biological traits are devided into different kinds, so one should apply different methods to deal with them. In this project, we will do some research on the interdiscipline between statistics and biology (genetics especially). Based on the popular methods of linkage analysis and association analysis, we will develop new, efficient and pertinent methods to analyze biological data, focusing on the statistical analysis of genetic data on the typical count and ordinal traits. By the study of the project, we can map the gene loci of interest, and discuss the biological mechanism of gene acting.
