Since human factor is the key factor in air security, to study and improve human factor is an important way to reduce accident rate and improve aviation safety. However, human factor research is short of the objective, dependable and on-time measurements. Multi-physiological measurement has more advantage in human factor research because of its objectivity and comprehensiveness. Therefore, it is significant to study the response mechanism of pilots in task situations to visual stimuli using multi-physiological measurements based on the interdisciplinary study of cognitive science and information science. The project is proposing to study the effect of single dynamic characters and graphs on the flight action through multi-physiological measurements and clarify the relation between physiology parameters and stimulus unit; based on the results, multimode stimuli (character-graph) sequence are used to study its effect on flight tasks and model the relation between multi-physiological parameters and cockpit visual stimuli; meanwhile, the project will study the effect of interference on the response of flight tasks to visual stimuli. These researches are aimed at clarifying the law of pilots' situational cognition and visual stimuli and laying the theoretical foundations for the design of cockpit visual system.
