中文摘要: 大规模火山喷发是过去2000年气候变化的一个重要原因。本项目研究过去2000年黄河中下游地区的低温灾害与全球大规模火山喷发之间的可能联系。 黄河中下游地区历史文献源远流长,蕴涵丰富的气象灾害史料,具有极好的研究前景。本项目基于黄河中下游地区历史文献资料,把火山喷发气候效应研究嫁接到灾害史研究领域,分析可能与火山喷发有关的低温灾害的时空特征,复原低温灾害的灾情,探讨火山喷发与低温灾害的因果关系。本项目将广泛而全面的搜集有关气象灾害的史料,努力寻求史料的创新,并对掌握的史料进行严格的考证。在此基础上,建立霜灾、冬季雪灾、夏季低温冷害等气象灾害的时间序列,分析低温灾害与火山喷发的关系。结合树轮、冰芯资料和国外历史文献记录,选取典型个例深入分析,较为可靠的恢复过去2000年全球若干大规模火山喷发后,黄河中下游地区气象灾害的演变过程、区域分异特征。

英文摘要: Major volcanic eruptions contribute significantly to climatic change over the past 2000 years. Here we investigate the possible relationship between major volcanic eruptions and the low temperature hazards in the Millde and Lower Reaches of the Yellow River during the past 2000 years. The middle and lower reaches of the Yellow River is blessed with lengthy and abundant historical literatures, which include a large amount of meteorological sources. Based on these sources, we will analyze the temporal and spatial characteristics of low temperature hazards that are related to volcanic eruptions, reconstruct the disaster conditions, evaluate the cause and effect relationship between volcanic eruptions and low temperature hazards. An extensive searching and examination of historical sources will be conducted, and the chronologies of frost disasters, snow disasters, and anomaly cool summers will be reconstructed and compare with chronologies of tree rings, ice cores and foreign historical sources. Typical case studies will be conducted, and the temporal and spatial characteristics of low temperature hazards in the middle and lower reaches of the Yellow River following several major volcanic eruptions will be analyzed in detail.
