中文摘要: 青年基金项目“珠心算儿童数字认知神经机制的实验研究”以儿童数字认知为核心,考察珠心算训练对儿童数字感知、心算加工及数学抽象推理能力的影响及其神经机制。研究发现珠心算训练促进了儿童数字加工的效率;增强了儿童数量与空间表征的联结;在数字加工过程中更多的采用视觉空间表征;提高了儿童的工作记忆容量,且增强了视空信息处理相关的神经通路的白质一致性(FA)。且该项目基于fMRI、DTI和VBM的实验结果,提出了基于珠心算的数字认知加工的初步模型。该项目已发表论文3篇,另4篇论文在审稿中,还有部分论文在撰写中。基于该青年基金,本项目拟结合行为学测试,基于神经影像的脑成像技术(ERP、fMRI、DTI和MRI )和多种数据分析方法进行系统研究,通过为期四年的跟踪,从反应抑制、转换两个独立的执行功能成分,考察珠心算训练对执行功能的影响(包括行为、功能及脑结构);以及珠心算训练对执行功能与数学能力关系的影响。

英文摘要: The previous project focused on numerical cognition and aimed to explore the changes of numerical cognition ability and the neural correlates of numerical processing by abacus training. We found that abacus training improved the number processing efficiency, increased SNARC effect in children, and improved the involvment of visuo-spatial processing. Furthermore, abacus training increased the working memory span and the FA in visuo-spatial processing network. Three papers have been published; four papers are under review, and some more papers are preparing. Based on previous project, a 4-year longitudinal research will be proposed. The current project focuses on the following questions by behavioral, ERP, fMRI, and DTI experiments: 1) Effects of abacus training on executive function (including behavior, brain function and structure) in children, according to two components of executive function: response inhibition and Switching. 2) Effects of abacus training on the relationship between executive function and mathematical capability in children.
