中文摘要: 当前的地理信息检索技术基于定量化的检索模型和方法,无法有效处理自然语言文本中丰富的地理语义,造成一定的信息丢失和理解错误,并可能产生检索的错误匹配,从而导致检索结果的不完备和不准确。因此,研究定性地理信息检索的方法及其形式化模型,以语义匹配为原则、以定性表达为基础、以推理方法为手段,实现Web文档信息内容与查询请求的定性表达和信息提取,建立基于定性空间推理的定性地理信息检索模型,支持基于语义的检索匹配和结果排序,并进行原型系统的实验验证。从而以符合人类常识性认知和表述习惯的方式,形成基于定性知识表达和推理决策技术的地理信息检索问题解决方法,提高现代地理信息检索技术的有效性。

英文摘要: The modern geographic information retrieval technology is based on quantitative models and methods. The semantic information in web documents and queries can not be adopted effectively, which leads to information lost or misunderstanding. And the results can not be guaranteed reliable and consistent either. This project will present a new approach to model the qualitative geographic information retrieval based on the qualitative representation, semantic matching and qualitative reasoning methods. Information in web document and user queries will be represented and extracted by a new qualitative method considering the thematic and geographic semantics synthetically. Then a novel retrieval model will be constructed for the qualitative geographic information retrieval to support the semantic matching and results ranking. And finally, a prototype system will be implemented to evaluate this research. Through these works, we intend to improve the geographic information retrieval technology corresponding to human commonsense cognition and behaviors.
