中文摘要: 亚洲大地形对亚洲夏季风的影响是研究区域性和全球性的"水、能量与气候"的一个核心问题,该问题已被"世界气候研究计划"列为近期执行的四大关键计划之一。开展亚洲大地形对亚洲夏季风的影响的研究既有重大社会需求,又属气候研究前沿课题,具有重大科学意义。 本申请在以往研究青藏高原总体加热或单种加热对亚洲季风影响的基础上,重点研究夏季伊朗高原和青藏高原感热和潜热双加热的联系,大地形和海陆热力差异在亚洲季风不同子系统形成和变异中的相对贡献,特别是大地形双加热对季风的影响。拟首先分离伊朗高原的强迫、青藏高原的强迫、以及海陆热力差异在亚洲季风不同子系统形成中的相对重要性;在此基础上应用位涡理论、数值试验和资料分析集中研究亚洲大地形双加热的变异及其对亚洲季风的影响。由此揭示不同强迫过程相互反馈的动力和热力机制及影响亚洲夏季风各个子系统的不同贡献,为改进季风的气候预测提供理论依据。

英文摘要: The influence of the Asian large-scale orography on the Asian summer monsoon is a key issue in the study of the regional and global "Water, Energy and Climate" which is one of the four Key Projects of the World Climate Research Program (WCRP) in recent years. The study of the influence of large-scale orography on the Asian summer monsoon not only fits the important societal needs, but also belongs to the frontier climate research, possessing science significance. This proposal will be based on the progresses in the studies of the impacts on Asian monsoon of the total and individual diabatic heating over the Tibetan Plateau, and focused on the relation between the summertime sensible and latent heating, the so called two-tier heating, over the Iran Plateau and Tibetan Plateau, the relative contributions to the different branches of the Asian summer monsoon system due to the land-sea thermal contrast and large-scale orography in Asia, particularly the two-tier heating over it.
