中文摘要: 东帕米尔地处中亚干旱区,区域生态环境及人类生存发展与可利用水资源状况密切相关,而后者受气候与冰川水资源变化直接影响。因此,对该地区气候与冰川水资源变化的研究具有重要意义。本项目拟通过系统监测该地区不同海拔高度处温度、降水及冰川积累量变化,建立冰川物质平衡与温度和降水的关系,并揭示三者的海拔梯度变化特征;通过冰川物质平衡和融水径流观测,揭示冰川水资源对气候与冰川物质平衡变化的响应机制。通过分析测定冰芯稳定同位素及积累量,重建高海拔区小冰期以来温度与降水量变化,并依据二者与冰川物质平衡的变化关系及其海拔梯度效应,恢复东帕米尔地区小冰期以来气候与冰川物质平衡的整体变化特征;进而结合冰川水资源对气候与冰川物质平衡变化的响应机制,恢复该地区小冰期以来冰川水资源的变化特征,评估气候与冰川水资源变化对区域可利用水资源的影响,从而为该地区未来气候条件下冰川、水资源变化趋势的准确预测提供科学依据。

英文摘要: The East Pamir is located in the arid central Asia. The development and survival of ecological environment and human are closely related to the condition of available water resource which is directly influenced by the variations of climate and glacier water resources (GWR). Therefore, research about the variations of climate and GWR is very significant. In this project, we plan to systematically survey the variations of temperature, precipitation and glacier accumulation at different altitude areas, and reveal the relationship of the glacier mass balances (MB) with temperature and precipitation and their variation characteristics with altitude. Combining with the survey of glacier accumulation and meltwater runoff, the response mechanism of GWR to variations of climate and glacier MB will be clarified. On the other hand, we plan to detect and analyze the ice core stable isotope and accumulation, and rebuild the variations of regional temperature and precipitation at high-altitude areas over the Little Ice Age (LIA). On basis of the relationship between the glacier MB variation and the variations of temperature and precipitation and their variation characteristics with altitude, the general variation characteristics of climate and glacier MB over the LIA at the East Pamir will be revealed.
