中文摘要: 癫痫是反复发作的大脑神经系统异常放电或超同步放电所致短暂脑功能障碍的慢性综合症,是多个学科关注的重要研究领域,同时也是非线性动力学的重要研究对象。考虑到其中原发性癫痫与基因突变引起的神经元膜离子通道蛋白异常具有直接联系,本项目拟从亚细胞水平的离子通道出发,综合相关离子通道蛋白的分子生物学实验结果,并开展辅助实验,建立超兴奋性神经元的动力学模型,在微观离子通道异常与神经元网络同步的宏观集体行为之间搭建桥梁,研究神经元异常放电状态的触发、扩散以及神经元网络同步、振荡、共振等集体行为的涌现、演变和终止等动力学机制,进而构建多个神经元网络耦合的网络集团,进行脑电序列的关联分析,探讨癫痫的发作、演变和终止的机制。本课题研究对于正确理解生物神经系统的同步放电行为与癫痫产生的机制以及与离子通道病之间的关联具有重要价值,理论上对于统计物理与非线性理论在生命科学中的应用及其自身发展也具有重要意义。

英文摘要: Epilepsy is a clinical phenomenon of the repeated abnormal discharge or hypersynchronous neuronal activities in the brain system. Researchers in multiple disciplines are concerned with this important research field, especially physicists working on Nonlinear Dynamics. Taking into account that the idiopathic epilepsy is from the abnormalities of the nerve membrane ion-channel proteins induced by gene mutation, this proposal will construct hyperexcitable neuron model based on the molecular biology experimental results and our auxiliary experiments, to study the synchronizations in neuronal networks by combining from the microscopic ion-channel to neuron and to network. Once the hyperexcitable neuron model has been established, including e.g. the switch behavior between the normal spike behavior and the hyperexcitable response, this project will explore the trigger and diffusion of the abnormal spikes, and further insights on the emergence, evolution, and termination of the collective behaviors, e.g. synchronization, oscillation, in neuronal networks become available. By constructing the coupling between multiple neural networks, the correlation analysis of EEG sequences to explore the epileptic seizure and termination.This proposal is significant to correctly understand the correlation between the synchronous abno
