中文摘要: 传统的观点认为胶质细胞仅为神经元提供支撑和营养,但最新实验研究表明胶质细胞同样能感知外界刺激,其反应选择性甚至高于相邻神经元,因此胶质细胞对神经元放电活动的调制作用成为近几年研究的焦点问题。本项目拟采用非线性动力学和复杂网络理论分析方法,考虑胶质细胞间、胶质细胞与神经元间不同连接方式构建胶质细胞-神经元耦合网络动力学模型,探讨网络不同连接方式和连接强度对胶质细胞-神经元耦合网络放电时空行为的影响;探讨胶质细胞与神经元耦合过程中噪声关联性的数学描述,研究关联噪声对胶质细胞-神经元耦合网络的影响行为;研究离子通道中毒和温度影响下,胶质细胞-神经元耦合网络时空动力学行为。本项目旨在揭示胶质细胞在神经系统信号传递和整合过程中的动力学机制,是非线性科学与生物神经科学交叉学科的基础性前沿研究,项目研究对脑神经性疾病研究及临床诊断治疗具有潜在的应用价值。

英文摘要: It is traditionally thought that glial cells provide support and nutrition for neurons only. Some latest experimental results, however, confirm that glial cells can also detect the external stimuli, and their selectivity is even higher than neurons. As a result, the modulation of glial cells on electrical activities of neurons has become one of hot topics in the recent research. In this project, the analysis methods of nonlinear dynamics and complex networks are used to establish the model for neuron-glia networks with various connection types. We investigate the influences of different connection types and the coupling strength on the evolution of spatiotemporal patterns in the neuron-glia networks. Moreover, the effection of noise correlation on neuron-glia networks behavior is discussed. Also the spatiotemporal dynamics of neuron-glia networks is studied when ion channels blockage and temperature disturbing occur. The project aims at discovering the dynamical mechanism of glial cells in the process of nervous information transmission and ntegration. The research contents of this project are subjects of interdisciplinary basic frontiers. The results enrich the theories of nonlinear science and neuroscience, and have potential application value for the neurological disease research.
