中文摘要: 集体行为广泛地存在物理、化学、生物等许多复杂系统中,并对系统特定功能的实现起着重要的作用。本项目主要利用计算机模拟来研究与环境耦合动力系统中的集体行为。具体包括:(一)研究大量混沌振子与环境耦合时的集体同步行为;(二)研究大量可激发振子与环境耦合时,自持续集体振荡的涌现;(三)研究大量振子与非均匀公共环境耦合时的时空动力学行为。本项的研究目的在于发现这类耦合系统中一些特有的新现象,揭示这些现象产生的内在机制,建立理论和实验的联系,为更加深入理解生物系统中的集体行为奠定基础。

英文摘要: Collective behavior is ubiquitous in physical, chemical and biological systems, and plays a vital role in the functioning of systems. Here we study the collective behavior of dynamical systems coupled through a common enviroment by computer simulations. The study includes: (1) Collective synchronization of a large number of chaotic oscillators coupled through a common enviroment; (2) Emergence of collective self-sustain oscillation in large populations of excitable oscillators coupled through a common enviroment; (3) Spatiotemporal dynamics in a group of oscillators coupled via an inhomogeneous environment. Through this project, we hope to find several novel phenomena,ravel the underlying mechanisms, establish the links between theory and experiment, and provide much insight to collective behavior in biological systems eventually.
