中文摘要: 本项目以虚拟地理环境与计算语言学的结合为切入点,力图通过将计算语言学为主的语言学研究成果引入到虚拟地理环境符号理解、设计和智能应用领域,以提高虚拟地理环境自适应、智能化空间信息表达能力。 本项目研究以虚拟地理环境符号为研究对象,以计算语言学相关理论与方法为支撑,在虚拟地理环境中符号理解、设计和智能应用等方面进行深入研究:类比自然语言建立虚拟地理环境符号理论和方法体系;应用语言学理论构建虚拟地理环境符号的设计模型;参考计算语言学形式模型建立虚拟地理环境符号的计算模型。同时,项目研究根据空间认知理论,对虚拟地理环境符号的设计模型和计算模型进行实验验证,总结虚拟地理环境空间认知规律。 本项目研究对提高虚拟地理环境的空间认知工效、完善虚拟地理环境的理论体系具有重要意义。同时,本项目研究是对传统地图语言学研究的拓展,对促进地图学发展具有积极作用。

英文摘要: This Project combines Virtual Geographic Environment(VGE) and Computational Linguistic as a break-point and tries to introduce the research fruit of Linguistic mainly the Computational Linguistic to the field of VGE symbol comprehension,design and intelligence apply to raise the ability of VGE self-adaptive and intellectualized spatial information representation. This project, aimed at VGE symbol, supported by Computational Linguistic theory and methods, researches further on the VGE symbol comprehension,design and intelligence application, etc. At First, in analogy with nature language to construct VGE symbol theory's and method's system. Secondly, apply Linguistic theory in constructing VGE symbol design model. Then in reference to the Computational Linguistic modality model to design VGE symbol computational model. In addition, the project, based on spatial cognition theory, demonstrates the VGE symbol design and computational model in experiment and sums the VGE spatial cognition principles up. The study of this project plays important roles in boosting the VGE spatial cognition efficiency and improving VGE theory system. Further, the project extends the traditional cartography study and has positive effects on cartography development.
