中文摘要: 光晶格由于其高精度和高可控性而成为模拟研究凝聚态物理和量子信息处理的重要工具。非阿贝尔规范场由于其非对易性而具有丰富的物理。最近,光晶格作为研究非阿贝尔规范场物理研究的一个平台引起物理学家的关注。通过激光辅助的方式可以在光晶格中产生中性原子能够感受到人造非阿贝尔规范场。不过关于光晶格中非阿贝尔规范场物理的研究还在起步阶段,许多值得关注的问题还没有研究。鉴于上述原因,本项目致力于光晶格中非阿贝尔规范场物理的研究,具体研究内容如下:设计在光晶格中实现各种非阿贝尔规范场的实验方案;研究非阿贝尔规范场下光晶格的Hofstadter能谱、整数量子霍尔效应和量子反常霍尔效应;研究非阿贝尔规范场下光晶格中强关联原子系统性质,如分数量子霍尔效应。

英文摘要: Optical lattices have become important tools for simulating condensed matter physics and quantum information processing due to their high accuracy and high controllability. Non-Abelian gauge fields have rich physics because they are non-commutative. Recently, optical lattices attract a lot of interests from physicists for providing an ideal platform to study the physics of non-Abelian gauge fields. Artifical non-Abelian gauge fields for neutral atoms can be generated with the assistence of lasers. However, the research on the physics of non-Abelian gauge fields in optical lattices is at the beginning stage and many important problems have not been investigated. For the above reason, the aim of this program is to study the physics of non-Abelian gauge fields in optical lattices. The concrete contents of research are as follow: to design the experimental schemes to realize various types of non-Abelian gauge fields in optical lattices; to study Hofstadter's energy spectrum, integer quantum Hall effect and quantum anomalous Hall effect in optical lattices subject a non-Abelian gauge field; to study strongly correlated atoms in optical lattices subject to a non-Abelian gauge field, such as fractional quantum Hall effect.
