中文摘要: 任何生物行为,包括人类、动物的活动与植物的变化,实际上都是基于物理与生物原理的综合行为。对于多态(基于不同形态与特点)生物进行基于物理和生物的研究在许多应用领域如自然环境与生态的仿真、生态灾难的建模与防治、数字媒体等均具有重要价值。此课题关于结合物理与生物的综合仿真尚处于初始研究阶段,是一个具有挑战性的难题。有价值的研究工作包括:生物行为仿真,多态物体的交互,基于生物、物理的演变机理与时变过程, 混合仿真的并行计算等。 本课题的研究工作主要在两方面展开:第一是研究飞行动物在空中、水中的飞行/游动及其运动过程。对于人体而言,医疗手术中软组织变形的仿真亦涉及基于肌肉生理的力学问题;而基于GPU 与多核结构的对于混合仿真的并行计算将是实时应用中必须研究解决的问题。第二是研究自然物体或场景的基于物理和生物的时变过程,例如植物(树木、草地、果蔬等)的生长与衰变过程模拟。

英文摘要: Behavior of any lives, creatures or plants, is inherently physically and biologically based. Investigation on physically and/or biologically based simulation of multi-modal (in terms of physical state & features) lives is of significance in various applications like in the natural environment simulation, ecological disaster simulation and prevention,digital media. The topic is highly challenging, and involved with the study cross a few professional disciplines, typically the biological behavior simulation, hybrid interaction among multi-modals, biologically and physically based time-varying procedure, parallel processing on the hybrid model computation etc.. The investigation will be primarily made on two aspects, with combination of both physical and biological principles. For the first aspect, we will focus on the study of animation behavior simulation of flying lives like birds, fishes etc. in the fluids such as air or water. To the human behavior, the soft tissue deformation in the medical operations is involved with similar technique on the study of flesh mechanics, which will be taken as an optinal choice of investigation.
