中文摘要: 黑潮在流经东中国海海域时,与陆架水交界处伴随着大量涡旋的生成和消散过程,这些涡旋是影响黑潮水与东中国海陆架水交换的重要机制之一。研究涡旋在黑潮水与东中国海陆架水交换中的作用,有利于加深对我国近海物理环境和生态系统长期演变机制的认识。本项目通过发展基于谱聚类方法的谱混合模型水团分析方法,结合经过观测资料验证的ROMS(Regional Ocean Model System)数值模型结果,定量研究黑潮与东中国海陆架水交换强度的时空变化;同时使用Okubo-Weiss方法分析黑潮与东中国海陆架水交换区域内涡旋随时间和空间的分布和运动规律,并定量探讨涡旋在黑潮水与东中国海陆架水交换中的作用、区分东海黑潮左侧的局地性稳定涡旋和锋面涡旋在水交换过程中分别扮演的角色。本项目研究将为西边界流与陆架海的水交换研究提供相关的理论框架,为进一步认识东中国海物理环境演变提供知识积累。

英文摘要: The Kuroshio flows through the continental shelf water accompanied by a large number of eddies which is one of the important mechanisms of the impact of the water exchange between Kuroshio and the East China Sea. Studying the role of eddy in the water exchange between the Kuroshio and the shelf water is conducive to understanding the mechanism of long-term evolution of physical environment and ecosystem better especially in China Sea. Based on the validated result from ROMS(Regional Ocean Model System, which is a three-dimensional ocean circulation model),The SMM (Spectral Mixture Model, which is developed from spectral clustering method) is adapted to determine the water exchange intensity between the Kuroshio and the shelf water on the East China Sea in this study. Okubo-Weiss method is used to analyses the space-time distribution of eddies on the water exchange zone between Kuroshio and East China Sea shelf water. The role of different eddies, which include the local stabile eddy and the frontal eddy, in the water exchange process between the Kuroshio and the East China Sea will be quantitatively investigated.The study of this project will construct the theory frame of the water exchange between the Kuroshio and shelf Sea and perfect the physical environmental evolution theory system of the East China Sea.
