中文摘要: 台湾海峡是中国东南近海冬季逆风流所流经的关键海域,其中海峡西部逆风流的存在已被实测数据和数值模式证实与支持。然而,由于该逆风流在时间和空间上的不连续性与不稳定性,对于该逆风流的时空特征和形成机制仍然缺乏全面和系统的研究。在此,基于海峡西部由北往南多站位、大面积长时间序列同步或准同步海流数据(包含海床基与锚系浮标ADCP、船载ADCP、高频地波雷达反演表层流等),本项目将研究台湾海峡西部逆风流在冬季不同季风状态下(松弛和爆发)的时空响应特征,并探索影响该支逆风流生消变化的关键影响因子。本项目的开展可深化对台湾海峡冬季环流特征的认识,同时指导海峡内流场变异导致的陆架区海水交换与物质输运过程研究。

英文摘要: Taiwan Strait(TS) is a critical coastal area in the southeast part of China where the winter counter-wind flow pass through. Though the presence of the counter-wind flow at the western part of the strait has already been substantially verified by both on-site measurement and numerical modelling, However, because the counter-wind flow is temporally and spatially discrete and unstable, it is difficult to obtain the comprehensive and systematic understanding about the spatial and temporal characteristics and formation mechanism of the counter-wind flow. Herein, based upon long-time-series flow data obtained simutaneously or quasi-simutaneously at multiple-stations locating across a large area (including Bottom-Mounted Moorings and drifts ADCP, ship-mounted ADCP, high frequency ground wave radars surface current inversion) from northwest to southwest of TS, this proposal aims to investigate both the temperal and spatial responses of the counter-wind flow with respect to different wintertime monsoon (including the relaxation period and the outbreak period), and also, the critical influential factors which affect the formation and the distinction of this conter-wind flow will also be revealed. As such, we will contribute not only to further understanding of the detailed features of the winter flows in TS, but also the seawater exchange as well as mass transport processes due to the unusual flow within the strait will be enlightened.
