中文摘要: 本项目将心理物理学,EEG-fMRI 同步采集技术,以及计算分析方法与模型相结合,对形状学习的神经机制进行系统的研究。本项目通过三个部分的研究尝试回答如下关键的科学问题:(1)形状辨别能力的学习与群体神经编码的调谐特性之间的关系;(2)形状探测能力的提高与知觉整合机制的关系;(3)奖赏信号对形状学习的调节作用,尤其是其作用脑区与功能在不同任务之间的差异。本项目将为进一步理解形状知觉及其学习过程的神经机制提供关键的原创性证据,从而为研究客体注意与识别等高级视觉功能提供理论与方法上的支持与铺垫。

英文摘要: The project will combine psychophysics, simultaneous EEG-fMRI recording, and computational analyses and modelling to investigate the neural mechanism of shape learning. The project is comprised of three parts in order to answer the following scientific questions: (1) the relationship between learning of shape discriminability and tuning characteristics of population neuronal coding; (2) the relationship between learning of shape detection and mechanism of perceptual integration; (3) the modulation of reward signal on shape learning and its task dependence. The project will provide novel evidences that can help the understanding of the neural mechanism of shape perception and learning. The results of the projects will provide strong theoretical and methodological and supports for the investigation of higher level visual functions such as object attention and recognition.
