中文摘要: 触屏终端上的软键盘缺乏触觉反馈且存在操作遮挡,其输入速度和精度很受限制。在确定的键盘布局上,建立反映触摸特点的触点模型是提高输入精度的有效途径。触点模型反映了触点分布的统计规律,可用于补偿输入的噪声。然而,现有的触点模型均建立在连续触摸操作之间是相互独立的假设基础上,未能对连续触摸操作之间的相关性进行建模,是一种零阶模型。本课题提出一阶触点模型,该模型反映了连续触摸操作间的相关性,可有效降低输入噪声,进而实现更精确的软键盘文本输入方法。课题研究内容包括:1)一阶触点模型的假设验证和影响因素研究;2)自然输入过程中一阶触点模型和零阶触点模型的转换机制研究3)基于一阶触点模型的软键盘输入精度优化方法。本课题通过分析连续触点之间的相关性,研究用户触摸心理模型的特点和规律,能够建立软键盘高精度输入方法的科学依据,优化目标明确,预期效果显著。

英文摘要: A software keyboard on touchable devices suffers from occlusion problem and lacks haptic feedback, and therefore has limits in both input accuracy and input speed. For a static keyboard layout, developing touch models which reflect the input charactersitic of touch modality is an effective approach to improve input accuracy. A touch model represents the statistical characteristics of touch endpoint distriution, which can be used to compensate input noises. However, current touch models are based on the assumption that each operation in serial touch operations is independent from others. They fail to model the relevance between successive touch operations, and thus are zero-order models. In this research, we propose first-order touch model, which takes advantage of the relevance between successive touch operations to effectively reduce input noise, and further improve text entry accuracy. There are three sub researches in this proposal: 1) confirming the validity of first-order touch model and investigating relevant factors, 2) researching the dynamic switching mechanism between first-order model and zero-order model in the natural process of text entry, 3) methods improving input accuracy of software keyboards based on first-order touch model.
