中文摘要: 棉花叶片早衰是影响棉花产量和品质的重要因素,轻度早衰减产10%左右,重度早衰减产20%-50%。一氧化氮可能在棉花叶片衰老过程中起重要作用,本项目拟利用叶片衰老速率不同的棉花种质资源,研究一氧化氮在棉花叶片衰老不同阶段的生物合成及其作用;同时,在棉花中过表达小鼠一氧化氮合成基因和大肠杆菌一氧化氮降解基因,利用遗传学手段鉴定一氧化氮在棉花叶片衰老中的作用;进而,分析一氧化氮与乙烯、细胞分裂素、脱落酸等其他叶片衰老相关激素的相互作用关系。该研究将进一步阐明植物叶片衰老分子机制,并为棉花叶片衰老性状的分子改良提供优异基因资源,具有重要的理论意义和经济价值。

英文摘要: Cotton premature leaf senescence is an important factor to lower cotton yield and quality, while mild premature will lead an yield ruduction of 10%, and heavy premature will lead that up to 20-50%. Nitric oxide may play an important role during leaf senescence in cotton. This project attempts to investigate nitric oxide biosynthesis and its role in different stages of leaf senescence in cotton using cotton germplasm resources, which different in the rate of leaf senescence. The mouse nitric oxide synthase gene and Escherichia coli nitric oxide degradation gene will be overexpressed in cotton to identify the role of nitric oxide in the cotton leaf senescence. Furthermore, analysis of the cross-talk between nitric oxide and the leaf senescence-related hormones such as ethylene, cytokinin, abscisic acid, will be performed. The study will further clarify the molecular mechanism of plant leaf senescence, and provide excellent genetic resources for molecular improvement of cotton leaf senescence traits, which has important theoretical significance and economic value.
