中文摘要: Gamma带同步振荡是视觉神经编码的关键机制,视觉系统通过神经元电活动相位关系提取刺激图像信息,具有复杂的时空特性和时间结构,相位的主要特性在于对神经活动时间的精确性。Gamma带同步振荡与视觉特征捆绑息息相关,特征捆绑是把分离的特征表达整合形成整体表达,涉及图像分割、不变性目标识别、目标间关系与分组、整体特征与局部特征等概念。Gamma带同步振荡相关理论与图像处理相结合的研究意义重大,而目前Gamma带同步振荡机制启发的视觉神经编码机制应用到图像信息处理的很少。本项目探索Gamma带同步振荡相关的视皮层神经元对自然图像信息处理的神经机制,以演化自Gamma带同步振荡的脉冲发放皮层模型实现自然图像表象;研究对自然图像进行拓扑不变性和光照不变性识别;自然图像表象和不变性特征的研究的基础上,将自然图像中主要目标分离,研究目标间从属关系,实现对自然图像较有效的整体表达。

英文摘要: Neuronal Gamma-band synchronization is fundamental process in visual system, which codes the images through the phase of neural activity with complex spatiotemporal characteristic and time structure, and the main feature of the phase is the timing of neural activity. Gamma-band synchronization subserves perceptual binding, feature binding means that it combines the distributed features and obtains a comprehensive representation, and relates to image segmentation, invariant object recognition, the relations among objects and grouping, global feature and local feature and so on. It is important study of image processing inspired by the mechanisms of gamma-band synchronization, but currently in image processing there are few methods based on visual neural coding mechanisms of Gamma-band oscillations. In this project, we explore the image information processing neural mechanisms among visual cortical neurons related to Gamma-band Oscillations, study of image representation using the spiking cortical model inspired by Gamma-band Oscillations and image topological and illumination invariant feature extraction.
