中文摘要: 数字在人们的日常生活中起着非常重要的作用,它能用来表示数量、比较价格、描述重量以及讨论期刊的影响因子等。以往的很多研究考察了数字本身的认知和神经机制,但数字和单位一起描述数量时大脑是如何进行表征的目前尚不清楚。本项目主要从数字加工的角度出发,以价格刺激(由数字和货币单位组成)为实验材料,使用事件相关电位(ERP)技术考察人们在不同实验任务和呈现方式下加工价格时采取的加工策略及脑机制。另外,本项目还首次探讨了价格特有的心理效应之一-左边数字效应的脑机制。因此,本项目不仅可揭示数字及其单位加工的神经机制,对学校的数学教学具有重要的指导意义,同时也可了解消费者对商品价格认知时的脑机制,有较强的应用价值。

英文摘要: Number plays an important role in our everyday lives. It can be used to express amounts, compare prices, describe weight, and discuss journal impact factors, etc (Cohen Kadosh, & Walsh, 2009; Monroe, & Lee, 1999). Several studies have investigated the cognition and neural mechanism of numeral processing (Dehaene, & Akhavein, 1995; Dehaene, 1996; Moyer, & Landauer, 1967; Pinel et al., 2001; Temple, & Ponser, 1998). However, it is unclear how numbers are represented in the practical context of everyday judgments, such as price cognition (Cao, et al., 2012). This project is to investigate the processing strategy and brain mechanism of price (consist of number and units) comparison from the point of view of numeral processing. Specifically, we explored that the brain mechanisms of the price cognition when price stimuli were presented simultaneously and serially in the same-different task and magnitude comparison task using event-related potentials (ERPs) technology. In addition, the project firstly investigated the brain mechanism of the Left-digit Effect. Therefore, this project can not only reveal the neural mechanism of the numeral and units, but also guide the mathematics education of the elementary school.
