中文摘要: 研究表明听神经发放的锁相特性与大多数听觉功能高度相关,但是现有的临床听力检查并不能反映这一重要特性。为此,本项目拟针对听力损伤评估方法及其相关计算模型的构建开展研究工作。主要研究内容包括三部分:(1)基于听觉诱发电位的听力损伤评价方法。我们将首次开展EFFR(Electronically evoked Frequency Following Responses)方法的研究,从理论及临床上验证该方法作为听力损伤评价方法的可靠性。(2)研究听力损伤对言语知觉的影响,并在此基础上建立一个言语可懂度预测模型。(3)建立电刺激-听神经响应模型,并应用于人工耳蜗电刺激发放策略,以提高电刺激发放的动态范围,并提高言语识别性能。该项研究的突破将为今后听力临床检查、听力康复设备的研制与开发,以及听力康复策略的制定提供重要的理论和实验依据。

英文摘要: It has been suggested by previous studies that the phase-locking property of auditory nerves' firing is highly correlated with a lot of auditory functions, such as speech perception. However, the auditory tests in clinic can not reflect this important property. This proposed research is aimed to make new methods for evaluating the hearing situation of the hearing-impaired people, and to develop auditory computational models for predicting and improving their performance with hearing assistant equipments. It includes three subtopics: (1) EFFR (Electronically evoked Frequency Following Responses) studies on both guinea pigs and humans to explore the relationship between the property of phase-locking in the auditory system and the performance of the hearing loss, and to testify whether EFFR could be an effective evaluation method in clinic;(2) The mechanism of speech intelligibility for the hearing loss and the computational models for predicting their performance; (3) The model of electronic stimulation-auditory nerves' firing , and its application on the scheme of electronic pulse stimulation for the cochlear implant to increase the dynamic range of the presentation of sound level, and to improve speech recognition in background noises. These studies will supply essential theories for auditory clinic evaluations, research and development of hearing assistant equipments, and planning the treatment for the hearing-loss people.
