中文摘要: 在当代社会,熟练地掌握以英语为代表的第二语言是个人成功升学和就业的重要保障,每个人都希望能熟练地掌握第二语言。然而,人与人之间在第二语言学习上存在巨大的个体差异。有些人能够快速而高效地学习第二语言,相反,有些人花费了很大的精力和心思,却很难学好第二语言。现有的一些研究考察了实验室情境下第二语言学习的个体差异及其神经机制。然而,对于自然语言学习情境下第二语言学习的个体差异及其神经机制,我们并不清楚。本研究试图结合行为、fMRI、DTI、VBM、静息态等多模态的技术,探讨自然语言学习情境下第二语言学习个体差异的起源及其神经机制。本研究不仅有助于更好地理解第二语言学习个体差异的起源、神经机制及其神经标记,而且对于优化第二语言教学方法等均具有重要的意义和启示。

英文摘要: Nowdays, proficiency in English as a second language is an important guarantee for successful education and employment. However, it is well known that human beings differ substantially in their ability to learn a second language.Some individuals can easily and efficially pick up a second language, wheras others struggle with learning a second language. The existing studies explored the neural mechanisms of individual differences in second language learning in laboratory environment.However, the neural mechanism leading to individual diferences in second language learning under natural situation, is not well understood. In the present study, by combining behaviral, fMRI,DTI, VBM and resting state fMRI(R-fMRI) as well as resting state functional near-infrared spectroscopy(R-FNIRS), we aimed at revealing the orign and neural mechanisms of individual differences in second language learing under natural language learning situation.The present study can not only shed light on the orign, neural mechanisms and neuroanatomical markers of individual differences in second language learing, but also has important implication for optimized second language instruction.
