中文摘要: 近年来卫星技术应用于地球科学蓬勃发展,科学家发现大地震前电离层电子浓度、温度、电磁场会有异常变化。本项目拟利用地面全球定位系统的全电子含量和地震电磁卫星等离子体数据,研究和监测中国地区和全球地震电离层异常现象。本项目以1998年以来发生在中国地区6级以上地震为研究对象。将现有的世界网站数据进行整理和分类,利用统计分析方法,研究电离层全电子含量异常与大地震的关系。对2008年汶川、2010年玉树等破坏性大地震进行专门的研究。开发统计模型以搜寻和监测中国地区和全球大地震前兆电离层全电子含量的时空异常前兆;为了提高数据的精确度将增加在中国地区地面全球定位系统接收站。同时本项目利用法国DEMETER地震电磁卫星,分析大地震前观测数据,为分析中国电磁卫星数据做准备。并结合全球定位系统全电子含量和地震电磁卫星等离子体数据,进行电离层地震电磁异常综合监测。

英文摘要: Recently, satellites have been intensively used for geoscience applications. Scientists find that the electron density, temperature, and electromagnetic fields in the ionosphere could yield significant anomalies before large earthquakes. This project aims to monitor ionospheric anomalies in China and globe by using the total electron content derived from ground-based GPS receivers (GPS/TEC) and plasma, PLM, data derived from seismo-electromagnetic satellites (SEMS/PLM). We extract TEC routinely published in global ionosphere map (GIM), develop statistical methods, and construct a reference identifying anomalies, as well as search possible link between ionospheric TEC spatial/temporal anomalies and large earthquakes in China and globe. Later, some more GPS receivers will be installed to dense TEC observations in China. This local refinement will be used to replace the GIM to improve both temporal and spatial resolution of GPS TEC in China. Moreover, data analyses of France DEMETER electromagnetic satellite before large earthquakes act as test benches to be ready for the upcoming CSES (Chinese seismo-electromagnetic satellites) mission. Finally, concurrent observations of ground-based GPS TEC and SEMS/PLM (CSES/PLM) are conducted to study (monitor) and have better understanding on seismo-ionospheric electromagnetic anomalies.
