中文摘要: 本研究组最近发现的ReBa3B9O18系列化合物(Re是除La,Ce之外的稀土元素)具有很高的激活离子浓度,不出现一般晶体具有的荧光猝灭现象。在此工作基础上,本项目在硼酸盐体系中探索新型晶体ReBa3B9O18的晶体生长及其性能研究,以期获得新的性能优良的薄片激光器。拟采用缓慢降温法等方法生长ReBa3B9O18晶体,解决大尺寸晶体生长问题,确定合适的生长工艺参数,如温度梯度,提拉速率,旋转速率等,生长出若干种ReBa3B9O18晶体,晶体尺寸不小于5×#215;2 mm3,最终获得至少一种新型薄片激光器晶体材料。本项目的研究成果将为解决薄片激光器难以获得更高输出功率这一瓶颈问题提供了一个新的思路,对于进一步减小薄片晶体的厚度、减轻激光器的热效应、促进器件的小型化、获得高的输出功率具有重要作用,在科研、工业加工和军事等领域中具有重要的应用价值和研究意义。

英文摘要: A series of compounds ReBa3B9O18 (R = rare-earth elements except La and Ce) recently synthesized by our research group have very high content of active ions without fluorescence quenching which occurs in normal crystals. On the basis, this project will study the crystal growth and properties of new crystals ReBa3B9O18 to obtain novel thin-disk solid-state laser with excellent properties. The slow cooling method and other method will be used to grow the crystals. The problem of growing large size of crystals will be solved and the optimum growth conditions including temperature gradient, growth rate, rotation rate and etc. will be obtained. Several ReBa3B9O18 crystal with a mininum size of 5×#215;2 mm3 will be grown, and at least one thin-disk solid-state laser material will be obtained. The research result will provide a new route to solve the neck problem of being hard to obtain higher output power for thin-disk solid-state laser. The result will be helpful to decrease the thickness of thin-disk crystal, weaken the heat effect of laser, improve the miniature of device and obtain high output. Therefore, the project has important practical application value and study significance in science research, industrial processing and military field.
