There is usually horizontal asymmetric information between competing supply chains, and downstream manufacturers often share the information to reduce the profit loss caused by it. Then, how would the supply or procurement decisions be influenced by the cooperation of competing supply chains? This project will answer the above question under several typical supply chain competition environments where horizontal asymmetric information exists. First, considering there is no vertical asymmetric information in supply chains, the project will investigate the manufacturer's horizontal information sharing and procurement decision when supplier and manufacturer join the leader-follower game, and study the manufacturer's dynamic decisions on horizontal information sharing, endogenous effort and procurement strategy when the horizontal asymmetric information can be changed by manufacturer's effort. Second, considering there is vertical asymmetric information in supply chains, the project will research the manufacturer's screening contracts design and horizontal information sharing decision, and explore the supplier's signaling contracts design when horizontal information sharing may happen between manufacturers. The outcomes of the project are expected to generate new theories and methods for supply chain procurement operation management under the coexistence of competition and cooperation between supply chains and help the enterprises develop better practices.
