中文摘要: 随着互联网技术的发展,互联网已经越来越深入地影响着我们的生活,成为我们生活中必不可少的一部分。由于互联网的规模过于庞大,新的网络协议的实现离不开基于模型的仿真测试,因此,选取合适的互联网模型对于设计新的网络协议至关重要。同时,出于节能的需要,下一代互联网应当是能量有效的网络,即网络可以主动地将设备的连接从状态on切换为状态off,而不是只能保持在always-on状态。本项目将重新审视当前在选取互联网模型时基于网络拓扑结构特征来比较和评价的方案,力图建立基于面向应用的互联网模型评价体系,从而为设计更有效的网络协议奠定基础。进一步地,本项目将研究在网络拓扑结构切换的情况下,互联网如何保持路由协议的鲁棒性问题,从而为设计能量有效的下一代互联网提供理论基础。

英文摘要: With the development of the Internet technique, the Internet has play an important role in our daily life, and has even become a necessary part to our human society. Due to its large size, a new protocol has to be tested based on a network model. As a result, it is very important for the design of a new network protocol to select a proper model. Meanwhile, for the sake of saving energy, the next generation Internet should be an engery efficient network, that is, the Internet can actively switch the state of a link attached to an equipment from on to off, rather than keeping the state on always-on all the time. This project will re-consider the criterion that model is evaluated by checking its topological characteristics, and devote attention to build a new framework when comparing and evaluating Internet network model, which can be useful for designing new network protocols. Furthermore, this project will address the issue on how to maintain robust for network routing protocols when the network topology is switching, which is critical to design an energy efficient next generation Internet.
