中文摘要: 本项目针对地面数字广播和宽带移动通信中的广播和多播需求,面向大规模用户群,基于网络信息论研究多层(多类型业务)广播和多播策略。本项目将建立完善的多层广播和多播系统的传输模型,据此提出基于比特分割复用(BDM)技术的多层广播和多播策略,弥补了传统策略频谱效率较低或者资源分配灵活度较低的不足,并在传输模型和改进的评价指标指导下,找到最佳信道资源分配策略。本项目还将研究基于BDM技术的多层广播和多播方案在实际传输条件下的扩展应用,如不同接收复杂度和不同天线技术对于最佳信道资源分配策略的影响。本项目将构建软件、硬件仿真平台,并进行实际多层广播和多播的场地测试和单频网组网规划,验证研究成果的有效性和实用性。研究成果有望扩展应用到现有的典型广播和多播系统(例如LTE-A的eMBMS、ATSC3.0)及即将启动的中国第二代数字电视广播传输标准中,为其多层广播或多播提供理论指导和技术方案。

英文摘要: Towards digital television terrestrial broadcasting (DTTB) and broadband mobile communications, this research project plans to investigate broadcast and multicast strategy for large amount of users within the coverage area. Improved transmission model of broadcasting and multicasting will be established, based on which the broadcast and multicast strategy with bit division multiplexing (BDM) is proposed to overcome the drawbacks of low overall spectrum efficiency and constrained resource allocation in conventional strategies. Criterion for evaluating the performance of the broadcast and multicast system will be modified to be more realistic, based on which the optimal channel resource allocation can be found. Different application scenarios will also be considered in this project, including different reception complexity and different antenna numbers. Software and hardware simulation platforms will also be established to verify the availability of the proposed theory and techniques, followed by field test of transmission prototype and planning of single-frequency-network using multi-layer broadcasting or multicasting strategy. We believe the research results can be employed in the existing or coming typical broadcasting and multicasting system, such as eMBMS system in LTE-A, multiple-service support in ATSC 3.0 and the second generation Chinese DTTB standard, and provides guidance for potential applications.
