中文摘要: 为了充分利用移动设备日益增长的智能特性,并弥补其在存储容量,计算能力,以及电池寿命等方面的局限性,下一代无线通信(5G)系统的一个核心技术是采用移动云计算的网络架构,为移动用户提供无处不在的、多样化的无线网络服务。本项目着眼于5G系统中异构网络下云数据的有效传输,旨在降低海量数据的传输延迟,减少宏基站及主干网络的重复数据传输,以及减缓高峰时刻由于重复传输导致的网络拥塞。本项目将基于分布式优化理论,随机几何理论,以及网络信息论和编码理论,提出新的分布式优化算法,随机网络性能分析方法和网络信息论框架。全新的网络设计理念和设计框架将会显著的提高传输速率和频谱效率,有力的推动云架构网络服务在下一代移动网络中的实现,同时所提出的设计方案和优化算法预期将带来可观的社会和经济效益。

英文摘要: A key disruptive aspect of the fifth generation (5G) cellular networks is the exploitation of the enhanced intelligence of smart mobile devices to implement mobile cloud computing infrastructure. This project aims at efficient cloud data dissemination in Heterogeneous networks under 5G mechanisms with low latency and near-zero repetitive transmissions, and alleviating peak-time congestion in the backbone networks. Outcomes of the research will be novel approaches to distributed optimization algorithms, stochastic performance analysis, and network information theory framework drawing upon the foundations of distributed optimization theory, stochastic geometry theory, and network information and coding theory. The novel concepts and design methodologies will improve the transmission performance as well as transmission efficiency, thereby facilitating the realization of the mobile cloud computing in the next generation networks. At the same time, the project will bring about significant economic and social benefits by efficiently delivering reliable wireless services to anyone at a ‘seemingly infinite’ throughput, which is ‘just’ above their throughput demand.
