中文摘要: 埃迪卡拉纪-早寒武世梅树村期疑似刺细胞动物的化石记录非常丰富,但得到国际公认的寥寥无几,其主要原因在于这些化石没有同时具备刺细胞动物最为典型的隔膜和触手等组合特征。我国早寒武世云南澄江化石库和陕南宽川铺组最近发现一些类型多样的呈软躯体状态保存的疑似刺细胞动物水螅形化石,其中包括一些已知最古老的可能处于横裂生殖过程中的六射珊瑚海葵化石以及钵水母化石,为研究早寒武世刺胞动物的起源和多样性辐射演化提供了两个时空紧密相邻的绝佳窗口。本项目将借助于Micro-CT、Synchronton-CT等研究手段,观察分析现有的早寒武世刺细胞动物化石的内部结构,结合其他形态学特征,辨析其系统分类,并进一步研究探讨保存在寒武纪生命大爆发最早期的水螅形化石的生长发育及其生命周期。

英文摘要: The fossil records of Cnidaria candidates at the interval of Ediacaran-Cambrian Meishucunian Stage are quite aboundent, but almost none of them were convincing for most paleontologists due to lack of typical diagnostic features of cnidarians such as mesenteries and tentacles etc. The Early Cambrian Chengjiang deposits in Yunann Province and the Kuanchuanpu Formations in south Shaanxi Province yield a diverse type of polyp-like fossils, some of them were considered to be the earliest-known scyphozoans and hexacoallian-like sea anemone fossils possible at the transverse fission stage. This will provide two close-related windows in time and space to investigte the origin and diversity of cnidarian fossils. The target of this project is to address the systemtic classification of these fossils as well as their developments and life cycles based on dissecting the internal anatomical features at the aid of Micro-CT and Synchronton-CT techniques.
