中文摘要: 研究表明,肿瘤放疗中剂量精度每提高1%,癌症治愈率便提高2%。目前临床上使用的剂量计算方法主要基于解析近似方法,虽然速度很快,但计算精度较差。基于蒙特卡罗方法的剂量计算方法被公认为是当前所有剂量计算方法中最精确的一种,但是由于方法本身收敛速度慢、计算时间长的弱点,阻碍了其在临床放射治疗中的广泛应用。如何在保持高精度的前提下加快计算速度,是目前蒙卡剂量计算方法面临的主要课题。本项目拟通过对电子-光子耦合输运物理过程的深入研究,针对放射治疗中的特点,开展相应的MC方法加速技巧的研究,在保持高精度的同时提高MC方法的计算速度,将计算时间降低至几个小时甚至一个小时以内,将快速MC方法应用于精确放射治疗的剂量验证和计划制定中,改变目前所用剂量计算方法精度较低的现状,以提高肿瘤患者的治愈率。

英文摘要: Research shows that the cure rate of cancer will increase by 2% as 1% increase of dose accuracy in tumor radiotherapy.At present, the dose calculation method is mainly based on the analytical approximation method, which is fast but low accurate.The dose calculation method based on the Monte Carlo method is widely considered to be the most accurate of all current dose calculation methods, but its slow convergence and long computation time hinder its widespread application in clinical radiotherapy.Now speeding up computation under high accuracy is a main subject for the Monte Carlo dose calculation method.In this project, we will deeply study the electron-photon coupled transport physical process and corresponding fast MC method according to the characteristics of radiation therapy.The aim of the project is to shorten the MC calculation time to several hours or even less than one hour. The obtained fast MC method will be applied in radiation therapy dose verification and plan establishment, to improve the cure rate of cancer.
