We design and prepare the model layered supramolecular materials and host-guest supramolecular materials, investigate cooperativity and competition mechanisms of various noncovalent interactions using high-pressure techniques. The aim is to realize new assemblies of the prototype supramolecular systems. On one hand, we investigate the high-pressure behaviors of the existing energetic and hydrogen-rich supramolecular systems and summarize the stabilities and transformation rules, aiming to explore the new structures and properties of the function materials. On the other hand, we investigate the chemical reaction and assembly by virtue of pre-organizations of organic molecules, as well as pressure-sensitive function materials under high-pressure conditions. The emphasis is focused on the cooperativity effects and the role they play in the reaction and assembly, aiming to explore new structures and new properties at high pressure. Importantly, we adopt proper methods to retain high-pressure phases of the retrieved sample. This work will offer new strategies and extend the new field for developing supramolecular chemistry.
