Very recently, triplet harvesting of exciplexes to fulfill high-efficiency organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) has been attracted much attention. In this type of OLED, there still remain some unsolved fundamental issues, such as the triplet dynamics of exciplexes and their donors, which is of great importance for efficient harvesting of triplet states, understanding of energy transfer mechanism as well as improving efficiency roll-off of devices. Based on the triphenylamine compounds, this proposal will focus on the research of following aspects: the triplet dynamics of exciplexes and their donors by measuring steady-state and transient spectra as well carrier mobility; the relationship between triplet behaviors of triphenylamine compounds and delayed fluorescence of exciplexes. In addition, the exciplex-forming host to guest energy transfer mechanism can be understood with the help of the spectral characteristics of hosts and guests as well as optoelectrical properties of devices. The influence of energy transfer mechanism on the efficiency roll-off can be illustrated, which will be a theoretical guidance for designing high-efficiency and long-lifetime OLEDs.
