中文摘要: 超快光脉冲的产生促进了物理、化学、信息等基础领域的交叉研究。近年来,随着周期量级强激光脉冲的产生,人们不仅可以从原子水平上研究和控制化学反应,而且正将这种研究和操控延伸到原子内部的电子动力学过程,从更根本层次上丰富人们对自然本质的认识和利用。这一趋势的进一步发展需要在亚周期的时间尺度上灵活操控瞬态光电场来有效驱动原子、分子和团簇等微观系统中的电子行为,研究微观体系中谐波辐射和多电子相关等重要课题。本项目从这一研究需求出发,旨在建立一套有效合成和操控亚周期尺度内瞬态光场波形的理论和方法,解决多个倍频程的高能量相干超连续谱产生、宽带色散补偿与相位锁定等关键实验问题;在此基础上发展一种合成波形可控的瞬态光场的新途径,并对光场相关参数进行测量和表征,研究这种极端光场的时空新特性,同时通过数值模拟探索其与物质相互作用而产生的新现象、新机理,为瞬态光场的合成提供依据,从而推动相关领域的发展。

英文摘要: The birth of ultrafast optical pulse has largely promoted the interdisciplinary research involving many fundamental fields like physics, chemistry, and information. In recent years, with the generation of few-cycle intense pulses, people are able not only to study and control chemical reactions at atomic level, but also to observe and manipulate electronic dynamics at sub-atomic scale. This has greatly enriched our understanding of nature and abilities to utilize it. Further quest for ultrafast process requires the capability of shaping the light transient at subcycle level to steer the electronic motion in microcosm like atoms, molecules and clusters, and to study the fundamental questions like harmonic emission, electronic correlation and so on. It is for this demanding purpose that we propose our research project, aiming at establishing a system of theories and methods to effectively synthesize and manipulate the light transient at subcycle level. Challenging experimental problems like generation and chirp compensation of supercontinuum of several octaves as well as phase locking of the spectral components are to be resolved, based on which a new route to synthesizing the waveform-controlled light transient will be developed.
