中文摘要: 多输入多输出(MIMO)技术是未来移动通信提高频谱效率的关键方案之一,但是MIMO天线的尺寸制约了该技术在小型移动终端中的应用。本项目针对移动终端MIMO天线小型化的需求,探索等效磁流的模式理论。等效磁流与传统的电流模式具有对偶性,与电流模式靠近金属边界条件辐射恶化相反,等效磁流在金属边界条件表面具有良好的辐射特性,在天线宽带小型化应用中具有研究前景。本项目拟探索等效磁流模式理论,包括等效磁流的构造、模式辐射特性及模式间耦合特性。并基于等效磁流的辐射特性,研究MIMO天线单元宽带小型化的设计方案;基于等效磁流在特定尺寸金属边界条件下的耦合特性,研究MIMO天线间宽带、多频带解耦设计方案。 本项目的核心在于对等效磁流模式的理论研究。针对移动终端特定尺寸的金属边界条件,探索MIMO天线小型化设计思路,并将该思路拓展到多频带、宽带的应用,为MIMO技术在小型移动终端的应用提供可行方案。

英文摘要: Multiple-input multiple-out (MIMO) is the key technology for high-speed wireless communication in future. However, the dimension of the MIMO antenna system is a severe problem for the small-volume mobile handsets. In this project, for the antenna miniaturization for multi-band MIMO applications, we will study the theory on equivalent magnetic current modes. The equivalent magnetic current shows duality with traditional electric current mode. The equivalent magnetic current is with the advantage of good radiation performance on the metallic boundary condition, which is different from the electric current, showing potential application for antenna miniaturization. For the equivalent magnetic current mode theory, we will focus on the construction, the radiation performance and the modes coupling performance of the equivalent magnetic current. Based on the radiation performance of the equivalent magnetic current, we will study the techniques for wideband antenna element designs. Based on the modes coupling performance, we will study the techniques for wideband decoupling methods between antenna elements of MIMO antenna system.
