The microstructure of titanium alloys is sensitive to the processing parameters during the forging process. And the microstructure morphology of titanium alloys greatly affects the mechanical properties and deformation behavior. Nowadays, it is difficult for titanium alloys to acquire accurate sensitivity information of the microstructure using empirical mathematical models and internal-state-variable models based on equiaxed microstructure because these models can not describe the evolution behavior of different kinds of microstructure morphology. In present study, the microstructure evolution and dynamic response characteristics of titanium alloys are investigated in depth during the forging process, in which titanium alloys contain different kinds of microstructure morphology. Moreover, new microstructure sensitivity models of titanium alloys are developed to predict the sensitivity of different kinds of microstructure morphology with respect to processing parameters during the forging process. And the microstructure evolution and the sensitivity law are acquired with the help of numerical analysis. Finally, the appropriate optimality criterion is proposed based on the sensitivity law and used to solve the problem of microstructure control. Present study lays a foundation for developing advance plastic formin
