中文摘要: 本项目对具有钙钛矿结构的外延铁电体中界面晶格失配等诱发的机械应变梯度对材料的介电性质和电极化行为等的影响进行了研究。结果表明应变梯度电极化效应将会显著影响铁电体系中的极化响应。本项目依据实验获得的如锆钛酸铅和钛酸锶钡等几种典型铁电体的耦合系数,通过总结国际上相关研究方向的实验观测结果,提出了应变梯度的等效电场新概念,并基于此概念建立起能包容应变梯度的铁电热力学唯象理论模型来描述外延铁电薄膜中梯度应变- - 电极化耦合效应,从而对外延铁电微纳米结构中的介电弱化行为及应变梯度电极化与零场下的自发极化之间的相互作用进行了研究。外延铁电薄膜中非均匀应变对极化响应影响的研究对基于外延铁电薄膜异质结构的器件如超高密度存储器和微电子机械系统的研究开发具有指导意义。

英文摘要: We have investigated effect of interfacial mismatch induced strain gradient on dielectric and polarization behavior in epitaxial perovskite-type ferroelectrics. It is revealed that strain gradient can significantly impact polarization response in ferroelectrics. In the present study, we propose a novel concept of equivalent electric field by analyzing flexoelectric coefficients obtained in a few classic ferroelectrics such as PZT, BST and other relevant results. Based on thermodynamics of ferroelectrics, phenomenological model incorporating strain gradient term has been established to describe flexoelectric coupling in heteroepitaxial thin films and to explore dielectric degradation in epitaxial microstructures and interaction between flexoelectric and spontaneous polarization. The study of inhomogeneous strain effect on epitaxial ferroelectrics may facilitate research and development of heterostructure based devices such as ultrahigh density memory and microelectromechanical system.
