中文摘要: 随着互联网设备呈指数级数增加,互联网体系变得越来越复杂,也加剧了设备复杂度和网络管理难度。因此,研究人员提出了软件定义网络技术来克服上述不足,其核心思想是将网络设备的控制平面与数据平面相分离,从而实现对网络数据流的灵活控制,为核心网络及创新应用提供良好的平台。由于软件定义网络改变了传统网络中的数据流控制模式,而任播路由又是园区网和数据中心等应用中的核心问题之一,因此设计软件定义网络任播路由机制来提高不同应用的服务质量就显得至关重要。本课题将以园区网和数据中心的应用需求和资源约束为出发点,以提高网络服务质量(如带宽优化、延迟保障、负载均衡等)为优化目标,紧紧围绕软件定义网络任播建模和QoS保障任播实现机理这两个科学问题,设计软件定义网络任播协议和算法库,使其适用于不同的网络环境,满足不同数据流的应用需求,并将在硬件平台上进行协议和算法的验证,推动软件定义网络在下一代互联网中的应用。

英文摘要: With the exponential growth of Internet devices, the Internet architecture has become more and more complex, which also increases the device complexity and the difficulty of network management. In order to overcome these deficiencies, a novel technology, called Software Defined Network (SDN), has been proposed. Under this technology framework, the control plane and data plane are separated so as to enable the flexible control for network traffics and provide a favorable platform for the core network and innovative applications. Since the SDN has changed the traffic control model compared with that in the traditional network, and the anycast routing is one of the essential problems in many applications, such as campus networks and data centers, etc, it is of vital importance to design more efficient anycast methods to improve the quality of service for different applications. Our project focuses on the anycast modeling and QoS-guaranteed anycast problems in the software defined networks while taking the requirements and constraints of campus networks and data centers as the starting points. More specifically, this project aims to improve the network QoS (such as bandwidth optimization, delay guarantee, and load balance, etc.) by designing a series of anycast routing protocols and algorithms. The proposed methods are able to adapt in different kinds of networks and satisfy the requirements of various data streams. Also, some algorithms will be verified in test-bed to promote the applications of the SDN technology in next-generation networks.
