中文摘要: 实现光子计算机是人类的理想。制造光子计算机的第一步是要制造出光二极管。到目前为止在这方面已经做出了很大的努力,设计了各种可能的二极管。但是,离可实用的光二极管,还是有一段距离的。在光二极管器件结构的简单性,提高透射率和单向性,扩展光的工作波长范围等方面,有必要做进一步的探索。充分利用亚波长金属狭缝的异常透射性质,是提高光二极管透射率的一个有效途径。本项目拟建立结构简单的光二极管模型,具体说来,就是由亚波长与非亚波长金属狭缝组成空间上非对称的结构,包括单缝和多缝,先研究理想金属而后是实际金属。运用理论公式推导和软件数值模拟的方法,研究光通过这样的结构时透射的物理机制,透射率,多缝情况下缝之间的相互影响。具体给出一定结构参数下的透射率和透射比,尽可能实现在相对较宽的波长范围内有尽可能高的透射率和透射比,力争实现单透性。从理论上设计出实用的,结构简单的,可用于大规模集成的光二极管器件。

英文摘要: Making photon computer is the ideal of humankind. The first step toward this aim is to work out optical diodes. This is a hotspot currently. Great amount of efforts have been devoted up to now to design various optical diodes being of possible usage. However, there is still some distance to go toward the practical devices. It is still necessary to explore further the simplicity of the optical diodes, enhancing their unidirectional transmissivity and expanding the wavelength range within which the optical diodes work. We think that making full use of the extraordinary optical transmissivity of subwavelength metal slits is an effective way to raise the transmissivity of optical diodes. This project is intended to set up optical diode models with simple structure. Specifically, metal slits with subwavelength width and other width are combined to construct spatial asymmetric structures, which can be single slit or slits. The metals are ideal metals first and then real metals. We will, by use of deriving formulas and numerical simulation with software, study the physical mechanism of the optical transmittance and transmissivity when light goes through such structures.
