中文摘要: 活动星系核(AGN)的X射线辐射产生于黑洞视界附近的吸积盘的内区,携带着黑洞周围吸积过程以及物理状态的信息,是研究AGN中心引擎的重要探针。SDSS和XMM-Newton X射线卫星已经获得了大量活动星系核的数据。我们将基于我们前期工作中得到的几类AGN样本(包括正常AGN、低质量AGN和窄线塞弗特1星系等)及其精确的参数测量,在一个很宽的参数空间上(黑洞质量和吸积率分别跨4个数量级)来统一并系统地研究其X射线的辐射性质和特征。我们将开展大样本的X射线能谱和时变数据分析,获得连续谱、铁K线、软X射线超、功率谱、光变幅度、时延等观测量的参数测量;考察它们与活动星系核物理参数的依赖关系,并发现新的关系。旨在为理解AGN黑洞附近的吸积过程和物理状态提供可能的新的观测上的启示。此外,我们还将在最新的SDSS巡天数据中搜寻新的射电强窄线塞弗特1星系,以显著扩大这类新且有趣天体的样本。

英文摘要: As an important diagnostic, X-ray radiation from active galactic nuclei (AGN), which is produced in the inner region of accretion flows in the vicinity of massive black holes, carries imprints of the accretion processes and of the physical environment around the black holes. The data taking of the SDSS and the XMM-Newton satellite over the past ten years have resulted in large samples of AGN with observed X-ray data. In this project, we will study the properties and features of the X-ray radiation across a large region in the AGN parameter space in a synoptic and systematic way, by making use of various AGN samples achieved in our previous work (including normal AGN, low-mass AGN and narrow-line Seyfert 1 galaxies (NLS1)). We will carry out X-ray spectroscopic and timing analysis for a large sample of AGN, measuring the continua, Fe K_alpha emission, soft X-ray excess, power-spectrum density, variability amplitude, time lags, etc. Their dependence on AGN parameters are examined and new trends may be discovered. The ultimate goals are to shed light on the accretion processes and physical conditions near the massive black holes. In addition, new sources of radio-loud NLS1 AGN will be searched from the most updated SDSS survey data, which would enlarge significantly the size of the current sample of this new and interesting type AGN.
