Recently, there has been growing interest in developing their counterparts at atmospheric pressure plasma, particularly for biomedical applications such as coagulation, chronic wound healing, dental root canal treatment, the bacteria inactivation, cancer treatment. However, in theory and applications, there are still many problems, for example, plasma diagnose, discharge mechanism and cancer clinical treatment. In response to this situation, skin and oral cancers in the body surface, which are suitable for operation with the early clinical treatment, are treated by atmospheric pressure plasma. In this study, the fast pulsed high-voltage probes, ICCD camera, and high-resolution spectrometer instrument will be used to analyze spatial and temporal dynamics characteristic of plasma plume driven by the high-voltage power. The discharge characteristics (Lissajous graphics, electron density, plasma "bullet" speed, etc.) for different reaction gases are examined. We will find the relationship between discharge conditions and apoptosis and necrosis. On these bases, we will explore the mechanism of the interaction between the various plasma reactive species and cancer cells, which can supply the theoretical and experimental basis for the development of plasma biomedical applications.
