中文摘要: 目前工作表明,哨声波与高能电子的相互作用是产生辐射带高能电子随机加速和投掷角扩散过程的主要机制之一。这种波-粒相互作用的强度取决于哨声波的非稳定性幅度和传播特性以及空间分布。但有关哨声波的非稳定性和全球性空间分布特性的相关观测数据很少。在此,我们计划建立三维的电磁波激发和路径跟踪模型,整合观测数据,数值模拟和理论分析,具体研究高热(kappa) 等离子体中哨声波非稳定性的基本内在条件,系统分析不同地磁活动条件下地球辐射带区域kappa等离子体中哨声波的传播特性和空间分布规律。为进一步研究辐射带哨声波与高能电子相互作用产生的高能电子动力学演化过程提供前期基础。

英文摘要: Current works have shown that interaction between whistler mode waves and energetic electrons is one of the primary mechanisms for the acceleration and pitch angle scattering of radiation belt energetic electrons. Such wave-particle interaction is found to depend on the instability, propagation and the spatial distribution of whistler mode waves. However, observations of the instability and the spatial distribution of whistler mode waves are currently scarce. Here, we plan to develop a three-dimensional ray-tracing model. By incorporating data treatment,theoretical analysis and numerical simulation, we shall study the internal condition for instability of whistler mode waves in kappa space plasmas, and systematically analyze the propagation and the spatial distribution of whistler mode waves in the Earth's radiation belts under different geomagnetic activities. This work will provide a foundation to the further research on the dynamic evolution of energetic electrons induced by the interaction between whistler mode waves and energetic electrons in the Earth's radiation belts.
