中文摘要: 颗粒气体的时空有序性由其远离平衡态的耗散结构所致,理解和研究造成颗粒气体时空有序性的非线性动力学及分岔行为对于非平衡态热力学和非线性物理的研究都有重要的意义。本项目将在原有研究的基础上着重对双仓中二元颗粒气体体系的非线性动力学及分岔行为进行研究,建立模型,探索多元多仓体系中更加复杂与丰富的动力学分岔行为。研究内容包括(1)对于双仓体系中不同质量的二元颗粒气体体系,实验研究不同系统参数下颗粒气体的动力学行为,与之前的实验及分子动力学模拟结果进行对比;(2)为理论解释提供实验依据,利用实验和分子动力学模拟手段得到单仓二元颗粒的流通量数据,在此基础上提出更加精确的流通量模型;(3)研究不同动力学行为转变的分岔行为,利用实验测量转变点处的临界行为与流通量模型进行对比,并在多元颗粒、多仓体系中寻找新的动力学分岔行为。项目将为远离平衡态的时空有序现象及非线性动力学的研究提供重要的实验依据和定量模型。

英文摘要: The spatiotemporal pattern formed in granular gas is due to its intrinsic energy dissipation of the system. Understanding and studying the nonlinear dynamics and bifurcation behavior which causes the spatiotemporal pattern formation is important to thermodynamics and nonlinear physics in nonequilibrium systems. In this proposal we will study, based on our previous research work, on the nonlinear dynamics and bifurcation behavior in the bi-dispersed granular gas system in two-compartment cells, establish modified flux model,and explore higher order dynamic bifurcation phenomena. Research work includes (1) establish experimental observation on compartmentalized bi-disperse granular gas under different shaking strengths to compare with results of previous molecular dynamics simulations; (2) in order to provide experimental evidences, propose a new method to measure by simulation and/or experiment the flux functions for mono-disperse and bi-disperse granualr systems. Based on this experimental flux functions, an improved flux model will be proposed;(3) to extend to the bifurcation behavior near dynamical transition points of higher order systems with tri-disperse granular gases and/or multi-compertment cells.The study can provide important experimental evidences and quantitative modeling for spatiotemporal ordering and nonlinear behavior of non-equilibrium systems.
