中文摘要: 氧化铁作为光解水材料由于其带隙合适、在氧化环境中稳定性好、成本低等优点而受到了人们广泛的关注。本项目拟制备多种高效纳米氧化铁光解水材料,结合同步辐射常规谱学和原位实验来研究氧化铁在多种修饰前后的电子结构变化及其在实际光解水过程中影响效率的关键因素。本项目将系统分析不同的修饰对氧化铁性能的影响,探讨其作用规律,为氧化铁纳米材料应用于光解水的微观机理提供实验依据,发展基于氧化铁的新型光解水纳米材料。

英文摘要: Hematite has emerged as a good candidate for solar water splitting due to its favorable optical band gap, chemical stability in oxidative environment, and low cost. In this proposal different kinds of hematite nanostructures for solar water splitting will be synthesized and x-ray absorption spectroscopy combined with in-situ experiments will be used to investigate the electronic structure of these hematite nanostructures, providing a detail understanding of the key issues for solar water splitting process. We will compare the effect of different modifications to hematite nanostructures and according to the experimental results, the interaction mechanism in a solar water splitting cell will be revealed. The study will help to develop high efficiency materials based on hematite nanostructures for solar water splitting.
