中文摘要: 聚合物单晶结构独特、大小均匀,不仅具有形状上的各向异性,而且在分散剂中还具有相互作用的各向异性,可以看作是各向异性片状粒子的模型体系。本项目将嵌段共聚物单晶作为介观尺度各向异性片状粒子新的组装单元,来有效地构筑宏观高度取向的液晶有序结构。重点研究从聚合物分子链到聚合物单晶再到宏观液晶有序结构的多级自组装过程,通过对液晶相的形成及相结构的表征,研究在新的模型体系下影响液晶相转变的因素、相转变的机理以及液晶相的特殊界面性质。对这一新的模型体系的认识,不仅能够丰富各向异性粒子组装的内容和范围,还将有助于加深对不同尺度下高分子软物质行为的认识。

英文摘要: Polymer single crystals can be considered as a model system of anisotropic colloidal platelet-like particles because of the particular structure and uniform size, which not only have shape anisotropy, but also have interaction anisotropy in dispersions. In this project, we will use the single crystals as the new mesoscopic building blocks of anisotropic colloidal particles, to construct a macroscopic highly oriented liquid crystalline phase. We mainly study the hierarchical self-assembly process from polymer chains to single crystal, and further to liquid crystal. In the new model system, factors influence of phase transition, the mechanism of phase transition and the special interfacial properties will be studied by investigation of the liquid crystalline phase formation and characterization of phase structure. Understanding the new model system can not only enrich the content and scope of anisotropic particle assembly, but also provide deeper insight into the soft matter behavior at different scales.
