中文摘要: 土壤湿度长期变化特征是衡量气候变化方向的重要标志。目前大多数气候陆面模式对半干旱区土壤湿度的模拟结果都不理想,其主要原因可能是对影响半干旱区土壤湿度长期变化的因素考虑不够。本项目将利用长期高精度观测资料分析温度和降水对土壤湿度长期变化趋势的影响,通过引入误差订正项,改进陆面模式中土壤湿度的参数化方案;并在此基础上,利用陆面模式进行半干旱区陆-气相互作用的敏感性试验,探讨土壤湿度对区域气候变化的影响。该项目的实施不仅有利于揭示温度、降水在土壤湿度长期变化过程中的相对贡献;加深土壤湿度在半干旱区陆-气相互作用中重要性的理解,更能提高半干旱区陆面模式对土壤湿度的模拟能力。

英文摘要: The long-term variation of soil moisture is an important factor to evaluate climate change. Currently, most land surface model simulations over semi-arid region have large differences with observations, one of the main reasons is that some factors, which can affect long-term variations of soil moisture, have not been considered in the model simulations. In this project, we will explore the impacts of temperature and precipitation on the variability of soil moisture using long-term observational data, and improve the soil moisture parameterization scheme in the land surface model by correcting the differences between soil moisture simulations and observations. We will further perform sensitivity test of land and atmosphere interactions in the land surface model over semi-arid area to study the influence of soil moisture variability on regional climate change. The project will not only help us to reveal the temperature and precipitation contributions in long-term soil moisture variations and deepen the understanding of the importance of soil moisture in the interactions between land and atmosphere over semi-arid region, but also improve the soil moisture simulations in land surface model in semi-arid area.
