中文摘要: 快重离子辐照是一种重要的光波导制备技术。在晶体材料中,晶体的结构可以通过快重离子辐照进行调制,改变晶体的折射率分布,形成微米级的光波导结构。基于该波导结构,可以制备体积小、集成度高的光波导光放大器。稀土离子掺杂的石榴石晶体,具有优良的光学性质,是制作光放大器的优良介质。本项目使用快重离子辐照技术,在稀土元素掺杂石榴石晶体中,制作光波导光放大器。探讨快重离子辐照条件对稀土元素掺杂石榴石晶体结构、荧光性质的调制机理;研究快重离子辐照条件对光波导光放大器性质的影响;力图得出最佳的,使用快重离子辐照技术制备光波导光发大器的方案。该研究结果将扩展离子束技术的应用领域,对研究离子束与晶体相互作用的机理有重要意义。

英文摘要: Heavy swift ion irradiation is an important waveguide fabrication method. The lattice of crystal could be modified through heavy ion irradiation process, which would change the refractive index distribution of crystal and finally form the waveguide structure. Based on this structure, we could fabricate integrated waveguide optical amplifiers. Rare earth doped garnet crystal has excellent fluoresce properties and can be used as the host material for optical amplifiers. In this project, we try to use heavy swift irradiation technology to fabricate waveguide optical amplifiers based on rare earth doped garnet crystal. This project will discuss topics below. 1) the mechanism of fluorescence properties variation induced by heavy swift irradiation. 2) the variation of refractive index modified by ion beam. 3) the optical signal amplify in the waveguide. This work is significance for the analysis of interaction mechanism between crystal and ion beam and will expand the application area of ion beam technology.
